Re: Melanie Shaw

Prison Number A4126DE

Dear Mr Davies,

I write to ask that you act appropriatley by allowing Melanie Shaw to receive and send mail by post. I enclose a letter for her. Will you please ensure that she receives it?  I have been informed that she is in solitary confinement, not allowed to receive visitors, this includes her Mckenzie friend. All the above restrictions are against her rights. She has committed no crime. What appear to be trumped - up charges have been brought against her with no substantial evidence. It seems her real crime was to reveal to the authorities that herself and other residents at Beechwood Children’s Home in Nottingham had been horrifically sexually and physically abused, some suicided and murdered:

Why has this brave woman been repeatedly attacked by the establishment instead of helped and supported? Why has the government closed Beechwood Children’s Home records for 75 years?
The government says - To protect the victims, but the victims want the records opened!
Why is Melanie in prison again? For many people, the answer seems obvious.
The government is desperate to conceal the truth, because the trail of abuse leads to Westminster and to the top of the British establishment.

I suggest that you should treat Melanie with the respect she deserves, failing that she should be afforded all the facilities available to others detained at Her Majesties Pleasure, at Foston Hall.

Yours sincerely

Richard Carruthers
